Candle Care Guide

I hope these tips help you take care of your candles and enjoy them for longer!

Trim the wick: We try to trim down the wick to the correct height but if it as above
1/4" you should trim it down to prevent soot buildup and ensure a longer burn time

Burn within sight: Always burn candles within sight and away from anything that
can catch fire, such as curtains or books

Keep away from children and pets: Make sure your candles are out of reach of children
and pets because you don't want accidental burning of their skin

Remove packaging: Remove all packaging, including labels before lighting your candle

Avoid drafts: Keep candles away from drafts, vents, or air currents to
prevent uneven burning and sooting.

Use a heat-resistant surface: Place candles on a heat resistant surface to avoid
heat damage to furniture or other surfaces. I prefer metal candle plates over glass,
but we will soon have both available for sale

Burn for the right amount of time: Burn candles for at least one hour for every
inch wide of the candle to ensure and even burn pool and prevent tunneling.

Extinguish safely: Extinguish candles safely by using a snuffer or gently blowing
them out. Do not use water to extinguish a candle as it can cause hot wax to splatter

Store properly: Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or
fluorescent light to prevent fading and discoloration.
